Bluebonnet Vote
|
Student voting in grades 2-5 occurs the week of January 24, 2011 for the favorite book listed on the Bluebonnet Master List. Students who have read, or had read to them, at least six of the books from the list have the opportunity to vote for their favorite book. Our votes determine the favorite book from Hicks Elementary, and then are combined with the student votes from across the State of Texas to choose one Bluebonnet winner. Watch this space in the upcoming month for the announcement of the Hick's winner and then the State Bluebonnet Book.
We will begin reading next year's list in February, 2011. Check out our Bluebonnet Display in the library for the current list and available books. |

Six Flags Readers

Hooray! When we read on our own for 6 Hours (360 minutes), and return the signed Six Flags forms on time, we can win a Six Flags Ticket for summer use. Our tickets are good from June 14 - August 8, 2010. Enjoy your summer! |
